Wo liegt das lokale iPad - Backup

Moin!

Hab ein neues iPad und wollte es natürlich aus einem Backup des alten wiederherstellen. Das ging nicht, weil es verschlüßelt ist und ich - oh Schande! - das Passwort vergessen habe. Nun, das Problem wurde umschifft, aber nun würd ich gern das für mich sinnlose Backup löschen und ein neue anlegen. Aber wie kann ich das vorhandene killen?


PS.: Falls das interessiert, "Umschifft" heißt: Rechtzeitig bemerkt, als ich das alte noch hatte, iTunes Mediathek verschoben und umbenannt, in der neuen Mediathek ein frisches Backups machen lassen, dieses auf das neue iPad gespielt, neue Mediathek gelöscht, alte wieder zurückbenannt und - gelegt.
In der Mediathek ist so viel Musik, die Arbeit, alles neu zu machen will ich unbedingt vermeiden. Deswegen soll das alte Backup weg, damit ich neue anlegen kann. Diesmal mit PW merken

So kann man die Backups löschen, aber leider nicht die Tatsache, daß bei Backups "Auf diesem Computer" "Lokales Backup verschlüßeln" aktiviert ist. Deaktivieren ist nur mit Passwort möglich. Ich kann natürlich weiterhin Backups anlegen lassen, was aber ohne PW sinnlos wäre

Probier es mal auf diesem Weg, habe es gerade gefunden aber selbst nicht überprüft.

To remove the encryption from an iTunes iOS backup if you know the password, follow these steps...

• Connect the iOS device to your computer using a USB cable.
• Start iTunes.
• Select the device from the list in iTunes and ensure the Summary tab is selected.
• Under the "Backups" header, uncheck the 'Encrypt Local Backup' Option.
• You'll need to enter the original password which you set to confirm removing encryption...

If you do not remember your encryption password, reset it on your device...

For devices using iOS 11 or later, you can make a new encrypted backup of your device by resetting the password, as detailed below:

• Under Settings on your iOS device, go to General, then find Reset at the bottom of the list.
• Choose Reset All Settings and enter your device passcode.
• Tap Reset All Settings to confirm. You won't lose any user data, media or passwords, this will only reset your settings like display brightness, home screen layout, and wallpaper. Importantly, this will also remove your encrypted backup password.
• Connect your iOS device to iTunes again and create a new backup. As detailed in the previous steps, make sure to uncheck the 'Encrypt Local Backup' Option.
